TASMANIAN RIFLE ASSOCIATION INC.
CAMPBELL TOWN RIFLE RANGE REDEVELOPMENT
The Tasmanian Rifle Association Inc. has embarked on an
ambitious program to redevelop the Campbell
Town Rifle Range with financial assistance from the Tasmanian Government through
the Department of
Economic Development which has provided a substantial grant from Sport and
Recreation Tasmania.

The program of redevelopment for the range includes a new amenities building
behind the 1200 yard mound
which will be accessible while shooting is conducted at any range, including
Match Rifle distances. The redevelopment
will also involve cladding the existing Campbell Town Rifle Club House to
preserve the structure, renovations to the
toilet block adjacent to that clubhouse, resurfacing and reforming of the
shooting mounds, toilet facilities at the butts,
and some basic road works to provide more reliable access to each of the
shooting mounds and the butts area.
Work has already commenced as these photos show with cladding
of the existing Club hut now complete.
Local
Council approval has been granted for the erection
of the amenities building, planning for which is well advanced.
